Why children's kidney care needs you

How the Kidney & Endocrinology Department cares for children across Mongolia, what treatment involves, and what this campaign will fund.

Why this matters

One specialized unit. Hundreds of children.

Pediatric kidney care depends on sustained access to treatment and equipment.

700–800

children with kidney problems receive care from this department each year.

1,200–1,500

hemodialysis treatment sessions are performed annually.

Since 2013

the hemodialysis unit has continuously provided this life-sustaining care.

Our main goal

Help children with renal and endocrine disorders achieve and maintain better health.

Treatment, explained

What is hemodialysis?

Hemodialysis removes waste and excess fluid from the blood when the kidneys cannot work adequately. For children with kidney failure, it can be a crucial, life-sustaining treatment while they await recovery or transplantation.
